In this role, you will join our Sector Marketing team, working to deliver high-profile, impactful campaigns that position Manchester, its assets, strengths, and differentiators as a leading global destination for investment. You will help support the priorities of MIDAS, Manchester’s Inward Investment Agency, which promotes the city as an exceptional place to do business, particularly across key international markets and priority growth sectors. We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in B2B marketing and a real passion for place marketing, who can help shape and elevate our strategic marketing approach. You’ll bring insight, creativity, and commercial awareness to influence senior decision-makers, and attract inward investment. Key Responsibilities: Delegation in-visits: assisting on the promotion of in-visits, working with MIDAS Business Development teams as appropriate Social media: working with the marketing managers to load, monitor and measure campaigns on our B2B social media channels Digital communications: production, distribution and promotion of regular newsletters to increase audience and subscriber engagement Databases: managing marketing databases and inputting data into office systems that support the Marketing team functions e.g. the CRM database, the financial management system etc Collateral: assisting with the planning and co-ordination of promotional material across video, digital, print channels Collating key statistics (event attendance, web stats, partner engagement, campaign reach etc) that input into campaign evaluation and reports About you: Previous experience in commercial property marketing would be advantageous Previous experience in B2B marketing within any of Greater Manchester’s key sectors as defined by MIDAS would be advantageous Demonstrable experience of administrating social media campaigns for a b2b audience (paid & organic) - ideally more than two years, although candidates with less than this who can demonstrate the necessary skills may apply and will be considered Experience of using CRM databases is preferred Essential skills: Excellent planning and organisational skills with a superb level of attention to detail Possess good budget management skills, including costing, supplier negotiation and budget development Proactive, flexible and resilient, able to find common sense solutions to challenges Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong news-sense and awareness of business trends and sources Marketing Manchester is part of The Growth Company (GC).
