About our Department : The successful candidate will join our dynamic and growing academic team in the Department of Supply Chain and Project Management, supporting the delivery and development of our undergraduate, postgraduate, and degree apprenticeship programmes. We deliver a broad range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and degree apprenticeship programmes designed to prepare students for the demands of today’s global supply chains and project-based environments. Our teaching combines academic rigour with real-world relevance, covering key areas such as logistics, procurement, sustainability, digital innovation, and project leadership. By working closely with employers and industry partners, we ensure our students gain the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience they need to succeed in their chosen careers. About the Opportunity: This Lecturer in Project Management and Supply Chain - Degree Apprenticeships, will report to our Head of Department for Project Management and Supply Chain. You will: Develop and lead innovative curriculum design and teaching and assessment materials, and to deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials Supervise students’ individual and small group research / practical projects and on professional placements or volunteering To keep abreast with apprenticeship standards and key developments / enhancements in the degree apprenticeship sphere Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work. Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback. Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements. Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students. Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment techniques. About You: Essential: Experienced at teaching degree apprentices at levels 4-6 in Supply Chain and Project Management within the UK, with particular expertise in at least one of the following: Project Management or Supply Chain Management You will hold a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant discipline Desirable: Teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one Professional body membership or qualifications, such as from CMI, CIPD, APM, CIPS, CILT, CIM Demonstrable industry experience knowledge of relevant IfATE Apprenticeship Standards and the demands of apprenticeship teaching, including the requirements of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and the Further Education and Skills Handbook. As our apprenticeship teaching is delivered online, experience of delivering workshops and supporting students in an online learning environment would be desirable, in addition to prior exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard or similar).
