A Medway Council Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to earn a salary and gain a qualification whilst gathering invaluable workplace skills and experience. We have an exciting opportunity for two Apprentice roles within the Rehousing Team, assisting homeless households into temporary accommodation and assessing applications for social housing. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn. You will be given on the job training, along with your Apprenticeship course and additional training specific to the service area. The role will involve dealing with customers and partners on a regular basis to assist customers with their housing circumstances. You will need to be well organised with excellent communication and IT skills and a positive attitude. The post is varied and will involve dealing with customers over the telephone to assist with rent, temporary accommodation or social housing queries. You do not require previous experience in housing as you will be provided with the required training. You will however need to have excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with customers.
