Tour Guide at Glencadam Distillery Glencadam Distillery Tour Guides are a public face of the distillery providing unique and exceptional experiences to every guest and letting your personality shine through on every tour you perform. As a tour guide, you are required to be friendly, and confident to adapt and take initiative to keep visitors safe and happy as you guide them round a busy working site. Great teamwork and flexibility are essential in this role. You will cover a variety of overall duties within the Visitor Centre including greeting guests at reception, taking tour bookings and assisting with general enquires in person, on the phone or via email. Providing exceptional customer care within in our gift shop and first class hospitality in the café and whisky bar. These core responsibilities are expected from all team members. Tour Guide key responsibilities and focus: Delivering a variety of distillery tours with passion and enthusiasm, ensuring that key messages and safety procedures are included in every experience. Host tutored tastings of products from Glencadam Distillery and the wider Angus Dundee Distillers portfolio. Sharing Glencadam’s rich history, products and processes at events on and off site. Give an exceptional welcome to every guest, if required explain our tour options and help customers select the most appropriate tour. Handle general enquires about tour timings, rules and site access etc. Answering general phone and email enquiries. Engage with customers across the site and in the shop, share your knowledge with them, and understand their needs to help make suitable suggestions. Restock merchandise, daily set up for tours etc. and keep the site clean and tidy to the highest standards. Conduct end of day reports and till takings Assist with the set-up, hosting and dismantling of events on and off site. Being flexible and working in any area of the site to suit the needs of the business. Put the safety of our guests, the team and yourself at the centre of everything you do. Understand and comply with all safety and quality legislation. Hosting for private lunches, dinners, events and corporate groups.
