There will be regular contact with the judiciary and assisting the administrative staff. You will also carry out some general clerical work as required to support the work of HMCTS. Ushers work within a team with regular management support and are responsible for their own time. You’ll have the ability to multi-task, prioritise and organise your own time undertaking some administrative tasks. You’re comfortable using IT, with the attention to detail to ensure court documents are accurate and able to adapt to and learn new software packages. You take pride in providing help and reassurance calmly and professionally in what can sometimes be challenging situations. Further details: These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
