Main duties of the job QEHB has been a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) since 2012, serving patients in the West Midlands region as a hub within the West Midlands Major Trauma Network and is supported by the Trauma Units (TUs) and Local Emergency Hospitals (LEH) within the region. Patients may self present, may arrive either by ambulance or helicopter. A small number may be a hyperacute transfer from a regional TU. These patients typically have an Injury Severity Score (ISS) of greater than 9.
