    • The post holder will be a part of the Middle Grade Paediatric team, taking part in the on-call and out of hours rota as part of a full shift system that is fully EWTD-compliant. During this post the successful applicant will gain a range of experience in the General Paediatrics Ward, Paediatric A&E, the Paediatric Day Case Unit and neonatology. An attending system is operated at EGH where each week a Consultant is responsible for all acute paediatric and neonatal admissions and performs a twice daily ward round. This provides continuity as well as direct support and training for the middle grade staff. There is Consultant cover on site until 10pm daily based in PED. The post-holder will opportunity to attend general and specialist outpatient clinics. They will also be expected to take part in some scheduled clinics, directly supported and supervised by a Consultant.
