Job summaryAn experience nurse who, within their professional boundaries, sees patients on an appointment basis within a walk-in environment and provides care including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients presenting at the practice. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as requiredMain duties of the jobAssess, examine, diagnose, treat patients attending the practice within the parameters of experience and competency.To be an independent prescriber and prescribe within the formulary agreed with the practice dependent upon experience and training.To work autonomously with patients being able to assess, diagnose and manage patients attending with minor illness and injuries.To recognise when other clinicians will be best placed to review a patient and to ensure all patients receive the highest care.About usHawthorn Medical Centre have a registered list of 5000+ patients, and an un-registered walk-in element that sees 15000 patients a year. We are looking for ANPs to join our established team of ANPs and GPs that run the walk-in service. Each day is different, so you need to have great diagnosis skills and be able to think on your feet. You will be part of a team that provides support, training, and a good amount of tea and cake! You will also be joining the wider team of ANPs across the company who get together annually for learning and development opportunities.Hawthorn Medical Centre is part of the Hope Citadel Healthcare group a team of 10 practices that are looking to bring transformation in individuals, families and communities through whole-person centred healthcare.Shift pattern would be negotiable.
