31.25 hours a week, term-time only, working from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:15pm (with a 30 minutes unpaid break) Candidates should be qualified at minimum (Level 2, permanent role). We will also consider Apprenticeships, for candidates with prior experience of working with children. Qualified (Level 2) or above £15,686 to £16,182 per annum -Full-time equivalent: £21,108 to £21,776pa Apprentice (Level 3, fixed term role) £14,292 per annum -Full-time equivalent: £19,233 per annum We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Assistant Early Years Practitioner to join the team at the Kenyngton Manor Primary School. This role supports the Nursery Manager in enabling all children in the EYFS to learn and develop by: recognising children as individuals capable of independence; building positive relationships and establishing enabling environments. You will work as a member of the school team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs. Key deliverables include assisting Nursery Manager with: The planning and implementation of the daily activities ensuring that children's needs are met Providing a safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities - ensuring that all relevant records are maintained Ensuring that food provision is carried out within the statutory guidelines Key qualifications/experience and skills required The Successful Candidate will have: At least an approved early years practitioner level 2 qualification see the DfE Qualification Requirements (attached) Basic numeracy and literacy e.g. through GCSE qualification in English and Maths or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level. You will also have a basic understanding of Health and Safety regulations, procedures and the principles of equality and diversity. Alternatively, join the apprenticeship programme and be willing to work towards an approved early years practitioner level 3 qualification as an Apprentice within the school. You will need to have appropriate experience of working with children.
