We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual who is committed to helping maintain a quality service.Tynedale centre, Hexham supports adults with complex needs and aims to facilitate a variety of educational, social, therapeutic and employment opportunities to broaden life experiences and allow service users to exercise their right to self-determination and choice.As a care worker you will help our service users enjoy a variety of engaging and enjoyable activities including:SwimmingHorse-RidingBowlingMusic therapyGardeningSensory walksYour support will enable them to participate fully and have fun!The centre is open Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm.This role is:Permanent35 hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm)NCC Band 4 salary £22,980 - £24,574 (£12.59 per hour)Main duties of the jobRole of the job:To support service users with their physical, personal and emotional care, to enable and promote independence so they can reach their full potential.Preparation and serving of meals /drinksAdminister medication (appropriate training given)Support service users in accessing the community and arranging fun activities for them to engage withCommunicating with service users and colleagues report writing and sharing of informationCollaborate with colleagues to ensure individual care plans are achieved/reviewedAttend training, take part in appraisals, supervisions and team meetings.Quote from a current Care Worker:''Being a Care Worker means understanding the people we work with.
