Dirac is building the next Walmart-sized retail company ($790.09bn to be precise) and we are looking for a CTO to work alongside myself to take us to series A and beyond. Technical brief We have two (brilliant) engineers (0.5-2.5 yr experience) whom you will give some guidance to. There will be lots of coding. This will include: price and demand forecasting, helping build our inventory and finance backend, AI agents for running operations. I need to move my focus more to the B2B/sales side, so an ideal candidate means I can move focus to that while the company still ships what we need very very quickly. Experience with some of python/postgres/django/systemd preferred. Following series A you will be working with me on hiring [small N] exceptional new engineers. The focus is on results not headcount - ideally we reach £100m+ revenue with <=10 engineers! About you You love to build things, from hobby/open source to commercial Intellectually curious Ships code+features quickly / borderline obsessively Wants a 5+ year project with appropriate levels of ambition Compensation TC in the £200,000 range, but will be predominantly (>50%) equity with adjustments to base as we hit performance milestones.
