Job summaryConsultant Radiologist with interest Oncology and Cancer ImagingThis is a new post in the Imaging service - Clinical Support & Imaging Management Group (CSI CMG). The post holder will join an established team of Oncology and GIGU radiologists supporting clinicians and delivering acute and elective imaging in both specialist areas and in general radiology. The post holder will join the comprehensive diagnostic body rota 1 in 30 plus delivering diagnostic oncology/Abdominal reporting across the UHL, subject to required skills if they are available.It is expected that the post holder will take part in the provision of emergency imaging across the UHL.This is a new consultant post. The post holder will be expected to work closely in the team with the existing radiologists to support the continuing development of imaging within UHL as a whole.The appointment will be whole time. Any consultant who is unable for personal reasons, to work whole time, will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis in consultation with consultant colleagues.Main duties of the jobPRINCIPAL ELEMENTS OF THE POST WILL BE:-To undertake programmed activities in Oncology and Gastrointestinal imaging.
