Job summaryThe Deputy Domestic Services Manager will assist the Domestic Services Manager in the development and maintenance of cost effective and efficient domestic services across the Trust.The post holder will be responsible for assisting in delivering best practice and value for money in the Domestic Services Department for the Trust.The post holder will ensure the correct management and delivery of a range of In House and contracted services and be responsible for the operation of a Quality Assurance process which ensures that the specification is met within the resources available, and to standards that are defined.The post holder will be responsible for providing assurance that all systems and processes in relation to operations and Health & Safety are adhered to The post holder will assist the Domestic Services manager in ensuring domestic services conform to nationally recognised standards of cleanliness in hospitals and monitoring bodies such as PLACE (Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment).The post holder will be able to give specialist advice on methods of cleaning regarding changes in legislation, statutory regulations, working practices and infection control.
