We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Toddler Room Leader to join our wonderful nursery team. As the Toddler Room Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the toddler room, managing a team of educators, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education. Responsibilities: - Lead and supervise a team of educators in the toddler room, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed. - Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of toddlers. - Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment that fosters positive relationships and encourages exploration and learning. - Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress, development, and daily experiences. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing childcare and early education. - Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's development, and use this information to inform planning and curriculum decisions. - Collaborate with other room leaders and nursery management to promote continuity of care and effective transitions for children moving between rooms. - Handle administrative tasks such as rotas, record-keeping, and inventory management efficiently and accurately. - Foster a positive work environment where teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect are valued and encouraged. - Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills. Qualifications and Experience: - Full and relevant Level 3 and or above (equivalent) Childcare qualification - Previous experience working as a Room Leader (minimum 2 years) - Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting, with demonstrated knowledge of toddler development and behaviour management strategies. - Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower team members to achieve excellence. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. - Caring, compassionate, and patient demeanour, with a genuine love for working with young children. - Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Clear DBS.
