Job summaryLiverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a substantive Consultant ENT Surgeon (full time 10 PA) to support the rhinology services of the department. The Trust hosts the centralised and regional head and neck surgical oncology service for Cheshire and Merseyside.The appointee is expected to support the present team and to contribute to the development of services within the ENT Department. Applicants are required to hold the fellowship of a Royal College of Surgeons (UK) or recognised national equivalent qualifications, to be fully registered with the General Medical Council and be listed on the Specialist Register for Otolaryngology or due to be registered within three months of the date of appointment. It will be expected that the incumbent contributes to the department's active teaching and training programme, at both post-graduate specialist-registrar level and nurse specialist level.Main duties of the jobThis is a substantive appointment of a Consultant ENT Surgeon (Full time10 PA). The appointee is expected to complement the skill mix of the existing rhinology team.The appointee will participate in the on-call rota for daytime emergencies and for out-of-hours cover (including weekends and bank holidays). The daytime on-call rota is currently 1:16 consultant-of-the-week (COTW), based at Aintree University Hospital.
