Are you committed and passionate about SEN Education? We are looking for a new Head Teacher to lead Autism East Midlands new school based in Braithwell Doncaster. This will be registered as an independent school for up to 40 autistic children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified, experienced and inspiring leader and special educational teaching professional to lead our brand-new school. You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of teaching, leadership and management in a SEN setting and ideally with experience of working with autistic children and young people. The post represents an incredibly exciting opportunity to take the lead role in establishing our new school in a new location, alongside maintaining the values and ethos of Sutherland House school. You will be supported and lone managed by the Director of Education. As the Head Teacher of our new school you will promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative individualised and person-centred learning and opportunities, deliver and meet our pupils’ educational needs and ensure pupils reach their potential in all aspects of school life. At Sutherland House School Positive Behaviour Support and Person-Centred approaches are of paramount importance and you will lead the continued strategic and operational development of this. You will exercise dynamic leadership of the school and ensure the translation of the school’s vision into clear objectives that promote and sustain measurable school development; ensuring that the school continuously improves and is aspirational for our pupils. You will lead the strategic planning process, which is critical in enabling school improvement and ensuring the school moves forward for the benefit of our pupils. You will work in collaboration with other senior leaders and managers to provide a complete and unified approach to education. This also includes contributing strategically and operationally to the wider organisation of Autism East Midlands. You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the School Governing Body, Board of Trustees and Autism East Midlands’ Senior Management Team.
