Job summaryThis is an engaging and demanding position whereby the post holder is required to provide effective and comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Health and Safety and VAPR Team and contribute to the broader activities within the team as required. This post will include providing advice, guidance and support on all matters relating to Health and Safety and VAPR function including planning and undertaking training as part of the team's training delivery programmes.The role will also support to the Corporate Health and Safety/VAPR Advisors and wider Trust staff on Body Worn Camera's, violence and abuse incidents, and lone worker devices.The post holder will be required to have a sound knowledge of;Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999.National guidance, governmental documentation and core standards relating to H & S and violence and abuse in NHS settings;Main duties of the jobResponsible for facilitating the calendars for all team members for visits, audits, training and any other related events. This will include booking diaries, liaising with other Trust colleagues and external parties as necessary. In addition to preparing notification of meetings, producing and circulating agendas, papers and undertaking minutes e.g. Health, Safety and Security Committee, Ligature Risk Reduction Group, Police Liaison meetings and any other Task and Finish Groups or committee meetings as required.Responsible for managing the teams databases/Information Systems. This will include managing the electronic files so that evidence is available on demand for preparation of reports, queries etc. To have knowledge and understanding of a range of computerised software including Datix (incident management system) and an understanding of it workings in relation to Health & Safety, VAPR, Security and ligature and ability to assist with updates in software applications as arranged or as directed.The post holder will be responsible for facilitating policies and procedures in being put forward to the relevant committees, Executive Team and Trust Board.
