Job summaryWorking alongside qualified midwives you would be expected to assist in providing person-centred holistic care to our women many of whom are well women.You must demonstrate commitment and a caring and compassionate attitude at all times.You should possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to use your own initiative.Working within a team or on your own you should be able to prioritise your workload effectively and be able to work under pressure.Experience in a care setting would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.We are looking for staff with a strong work ethic and commitment to team work.All posts are rotational and require day and night working.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting women babies and families whilst they are on central delivery suite, this shall include the antenatal, intraprtum and postnatal period, providing fundamental, high quality care. Trained colleagues will be available for supervision if required.The post holder may work under supervision and take initiative to provide support to their junior colleagues with regards to some aspects of patient care and patient flow.
