Job summaryThis post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.Liaison Psychiatry NUH Older Adults service based at the Queen's Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital is offering a 9 month fixed term Band 6 Liaison Practitioner post for an organised, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work and are committed to working with older adults.Main duties of the jobThe Liaison Psychiatry service for older adults seeks to deliver a comprehensive, integrated liaison psychiatry service for people over the age of 65 across QMC and Nottingham City Hospital. It provides a year round proactive supportive service to our acute colleagues to facilitate the best possible care to those presenting with mental health conditions such as dementia, acute confusion, delirium and depression.A core requirement of our service is to provide training and education to our acute hospital colleagues and it is expected that the successful applicant will take an active role in this.About usNottinghamshire Healthcare employs over 10,000 colleagues who help #MakeADifference every day.
