Job summaryBand 3 pro-rata (as and when required)Daytime availability is essential and pay will be according to the following rates:Daytime (6am to 8pm) min 2 hours paid for face to face interpretation and video . Telephone interpretation paid minimum 30mins.Out of Office Hours (8pm to 6am) and weekend hourly rate: min 1 hour paid for face to face and video interpretation. Telephone interpretation minimum 30mins paid at enhanced rate.Plus mileage and parking only paid from base/nearest hospital to another location, no home to base mileage or parking for first appointment to the base hospital.Main duties of the jobPlease state clearly on your application form the language you are applying for as failure to declare your language will make your application unsuccessful.The Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust wishes to update the Bank of Interpreters with a variety of languages to provide a comprehensive interpreting service to its hospitals in Oldham, Rochdale, Bury & Salford. The service will operate daily, out of hours, weekends and bank holidays as required. Possession of an interpreting qualification is essential and experience of interpretation preferably in a hospital setting.
