The successful applicant must have a positive approach and apply attention to detail whilst always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. To work well as part of a team but also able to make decisions working on your own initiative. Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and outlook would be desirable but not essential as training can be undertaken.You will be enabling the Matron team to spend more time in the Clinical environment by supporting them with their administrative tasks. The role will primarily focus on diary management, organising internal/external events, taking a pro-active approach with meetings and minutes, support in the use of health roster.The role is 30 hours per week and potentially has a degree of flexibility included which would be in agreement with the Matron team.Main duties of the job*All forms of diary management in respect of the Matrons, ensuring diaries are kept up to date and current including adjustment of diary clashes.*Responsibility for scheduling meetings and seminars as required including booking of appropriate rooms.*Production of draft agendas and taking minutes from appropriate meetings.*Inputting relevant information onto the hospital health roster system. Creating the Matrons roster* Inputting changes to shifts and ensuring annual leave/days off are included on the system.*Assisting with email filing*General housekeeping of the Matron's shared drive.*Booking annual reviews for all Matrons, ensuring relevant information is received and collated accordingly.*Booking and scheduling of line management appointments and all associated tasks.*Additional duties as and when requested by the Matrons.After an initial training period you will be working with minimal supervision so candidates must be able to use their own initiative.About usRoyal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge.
