Job summaryCAMHS Mental Health Practitioner CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Team Worcestershire Hours: Full Time Post-37.5 a week including weekends, shifts & bank holidaysThis team will operate 7 days a week between the hours of 8am and 8pm.This is a developmental Band 5 post. We can offer a robust preceptorship programme with potential for Band 6 after 12-18 months (subject to evidence of competency).CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment team, works within the community and in clinic bases across Worcestershire, completing urgent assessments and offering intensive support to children and young people who might otherwise require inpatient care or are in need of intensive support that exceeds the normal capacity of a generic CAMHS team. We operate 7 days a week between the hours of 8am and 8pm and are looking for an additional Mental Health practitioner to join our team.We welcome applications from registered professionals with a passion for Mental Health from a variety of backgrounds RMN / Nursing/ OT / Social Workers etc.Main duties of the jobWith this role no two days will be the same, this is a fast-paced team aiming to provide high quality community care for children and young people in crisis. You will be required to complete comprehensive risk assessments and create Safety Plans that can support children and young people in the community. You will liaise with the multi-disciplinary team both within CAMHS and within the childs larger support network to ensure they have appropriate support to help keep them safe and aid recovery. The home treatment model will focus on skill-based sessions, teaching children and young people coping strategies to support them in crisis situations, whilst also assessing any ongoing risk and offering creative solutions to ongoing difficulties.About usAt Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, we are working together to deliver outstanding care.
