Job summaryThere is an exciting new opportunity for a Mobile Dental Unit Coordinator, based in Brecon. The post is Band 3, Full time, 37.5 hours per week. The postholder will be responsible for the well organised, everyday driving, set up and running of the Mobile Dental Clinic (MDU). Supporting the clinical staff with achieving their duties to ensure efficient use of time and maximum patient throughput. If you thrive in a varied job role, this coordinator post could be for you.Main duties of the jobThe postholder will be responsible for driving the MDU (under 7.5 tonnes) possibly daily, throughout the geographical area covered by Powys Teaching Health Board, some areas may be restricted and remote, requiring competence and skill. Undertake all necessary vehicle checks daily. Carry out risk assessments. Working independently and responsible for managing individual daily workload and will use own initiative to resolve issues as and when they arise. The role will include transporting instruments, stock and equipment, ensuring cleanliness, preparation and equipping of the MDU.The postholder will work closely with members of the public, including adults and children with additional needs.
