This is your chance to become a key part of a large, innovative and forward thinking organisation.You will work alongside the service manager and an engaged team of dedicated healthcare professionals in a fast pace and challengingenvironment to ensure a high quality service is provided to our patients.Main duties of the jobYou will be responsible for ensuring that day to day activity runs smoothly, liaising with multiple stakeholders both within and externally to theTrust.In addition, you will manage the administrative team within general surgery, supporting them to move patients through their treatmentpathways within appropriate timescales.You will be accountable for theatre and clinical utilisation and overseeing the medical staffing rota. You will need to have a working knowledge of NHS performance standards pertaining to 18 week referral to treatment targets as well as cancertreatment standards.You will also encourage high performance from the staff, with the aim to maintain a high quality comprehensive service.You will ideally have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and experience within a healthcare setting. You will also need to be a skilledcommunicator with dogged determination.Whilst we are ideally looking for someone with relevant experience an individual with demonstrable transferable skills would be considered. Adevelopmental role would be considered for the right applicant.You must be a 'team player' working in a way that encourages high performance from other staff, with the aim of maintaining efficiency within the department.
