Job summaryThe Clinical Administration Team provides a wide variety of essential administrative and secretarial support to the Practice. We are now looking for a Clinical Administrator to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have previous secretarial or administrative experience gained in a healthcare environment. Previous experience in a GP Practice is desirable, but not essential. You will have a good overall level of IT skills. You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and be educated to GCSE level.Main duties of the jobMaintain highest level of confidentiality and comply with data protection standards when handing patient related and other confidential/sensitive dataWork as a fully integrated member of the Clinical Administration Team to provide general secretarial and administrative support to Practice StaffScan and workflow all incoming correspondence both electronic and paperFiling of Electronic Pathology and Radiology ResultsAdministration of Medical Reports, Insurance reports and Solicitors requests for informationFold, frank and sort outgoing mailDeal with patient appointment requests and queries on the telephone, electronically or in person as and when requiredAct as secretary to the doctors, including the typing of referral letters and other clinical correspondence, special reports, lecture notes, practice business correspondence and personal correspondence as requiredCode clinical information from hospital correspondence, such as pathology results, into Patient records in the SystemOneAny other duties that may be requiredAbout usLAKESIDE HEALTHCARE is changing the face of primary care provision in England.
