Please read 'applicant guidance notes' before submitting your application.Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesTo work as part of the phlebotomy team by obtaining samples from patients by venepuncture and ensuring they are correctly labelled and transported to the Pathology Department.A Phlebotomy Service is provided to inpatient wards, outpatients and virtual outpatient clinics/departments. The service accepts referrals from GPs and Clinicians within the Business Unit.The work involves handling biological samples and paperwork associated with this process therefore the Trust and departmental health and safety policies must be adhered to at all times.The successful candidate would be expected to undertaken outpatient clinical duties.
