Job Description Place Housing Plasterer Waverley Court Salary: £26,788 - £30,751 Hours: 36 per week The Council currently carry out approximately 140,000 repairs, safety checks and maintenance to over 20,000 Council homes in Edinburgh every year. The emergency service provided to our customers is a 24 hour/7 day per week/365 day a year service. Our service covers a variety of areas including Responsive Repairs, Empty Homes, Dampness & Mould and Capital Investment. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Plasterers to work in our Dampness and Mould team to carry out remedial work so that our are tenants are safe in their homes We are looking for people who will thrive on the opportunity to support our tenants who are experiencing these issues in their homes and who will show respect, care and consideration for our tenants’ wellbeing. The role includes: • The ability to undertake all types of plaster work to a high standard including traditional plaster finishes, renovating plaster finishes and dot/dab plasterboard application. • The ability to work outdoors and at height. • Time served plasterer. • Proactive in identifying ways of improving service provision. • High level of health and safety awareness. • Current full UK driving licence.
