Job summaryEnfys is an award-winning service currently based in Woodland House in the Heath area of Cardiff. We are a service for children who are looked after (foster care, residential homes), children who are adopted, and children on the edge of care.We comprise of clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, graduate mental health workers and admin support.Enfys is a DDP-informed service that draws on a number of psychological and sensory-based approaches to work in a whole systems approach. We work outside of diagnostic labels and embed a trauma-informed approach.We work in strong partnership with our colleagues in the Local Authority, Education and Health. We use a training and consultation model to upskill the whole-system to better meet the needs of the children and young people we work for and with.Main duties of the jobWe are looking to recruit an experienced Psychologist who is looking to develop their clinical work in child trauma, alongside fantastic leadership, supervisory and service development opportunities. The post-holder will work with families and systems as well as direct work with young people.The Psychologist will be responsible for leading clinically on the delivery of the service, supervision, training, and creating meaningful and impactful change. This post will sit alongside the current 8b post holder in Enfys and together they will provide the team with the secure base needed to work with trauma.The post holder would lead on service development alongside the clinical leads and build strong partnerships with other leaders in the wider Child Psychology network and beyond. There will be close working relationships between this post and the equivalent in Enfys' sister service Goleudy (a service that works with the most distressed young people in our region).This post will be supervised by a Clinical Lead (Clinical Psychologist) in Enfys.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usCardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 15,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.
