Job summaryBedford Hospital Outpatients department are looking for dynamic individual/s who have a genuine interest in Outpatient services. The individual/s must be willing to demonstrate the trust values and perform efficiently in their job role ensuring our patients receive a gold star service.They must have excellent communication skills and willing to undertake any further training necessary to expand our Outpatient services further.You will be part of a large team of qualified nurses, clinical support workers, booking teams and admin staff who work collaboratively on a day to day basis which is essential to the role.Main duties of the jobThe post-holder/s will be responsible for direct clinical care for individual patients and groups of patients within their area of work. After an agreed period, the post holder will be designated to co-ordinate the department in the absence of the department Sister, The post holder is expected to supervise junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff, including pre and post registration students.The post holder will be responsible for running clinics efficiently and ensuring patients have a positive experience within our OPD department.Although this post will be based in Outpatients, it will be primarily located in Main Outpatients; you will be expected to rotate to other OPD areas to support other specialties if required to meet the needs of the service. The post holder will be required to work flexible working times including evenings and weekends.
