Job summaryTo assist in the provision and delivery of a high-quality radiographic service within Northumbria HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust whilst adhering to all trust and departmental policies and procedures.Carrying out general admin and clerical duties and managing the reception area. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesTo assist in the provision and delivery of a high-quality radiographic service within Northumbria Health Care Trust whilst adhering to all trust and departmental policies and procedures.To act as the first contact for the department upon a patients arrival, carrying out clerical and reception duties.Ensuring patient details are correct, with some requirement to book appointments.To participate in all aspects of the administration service within RadiologyTo act as a first point of contact for the department and co-ordinate patient appointments and enquiries using initiative to discern between queries ensuring minimum interruption to the service.Alert management of urgent reportsUse the Image Exchange Portal (IEP) for transfer of images both to and from ELHT.To upload CDs with DICOM imaging onto PACS.To ensure all required imaging for MDT meetings is made available to internal and external clinical teams in a timely manner.To create user accounts on PACS / RIS assigning role-based level access.Person SpecificationExperienceEssentialRelevant Level 3 qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge and / or experience.Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and OutlookPrevious experience working in a busy office.DesirableKnowledge of database computer systemsSkillsEssentialMust be able to demonstrate the English language proficiency level required for this postOtherEssentialYou may also need to travel between Trust premises as required for the performance of your duties.
