Job summaryAre you ready for a leadership role?This is an exciting opportunity to join the Radiology Department at Sherwood Forest Hospital as the IR(ME)R and governance lead. We are a friendly department and have high standards of quality, safety, and patient care.This is a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a radiation safety culture across all members of staff within the department. Your knowledge and skills will support understanding of legal requirements and responsibilities involving IR(ME)R17 and IRR17 across the Trust and within the community.The post holder will ensure that all aspects of our services operate within robust clinical governance and quality assurance guidelines to ensure a safe, compassionate service. They will be responsible for writing and updating policies, standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining the non-medical referrers database. They will work closely with the radiology management team, medical physics colleagues and the divisional governance lead to undertake investigations and follow up actions and recommendations.
