Job summaryAdult nurseWe are seeking a newly registered nurse with a passion to make a differenceC7 (previously C6) is a medical ward providing care for general medical patients, who require assessment, evaluation and intervention via a interdisciplinary approach. Many patients come from the Assessment Unit for further investigations, procedures and treatment. We also care for patients from the high dependency / intensive care settings. Care will be in keeping with the philosophies and operational policies of the Health Board. Act in such a manner to safeguard the interest of patients in your care. Follow the nursing process of assess, plan, implement and evaluate programme of care for patients considering their physical; psychological, social and spiritual needs. To escalate concerns about a patient's condition/deterioration to the most appropriate professional. Be aware of the legal requirement concerning the prescribing, control, security and administration of medication. Ability to delegate tasks to a range of staff. Awareness of Deprivation of Liberty safeguards, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act and the ability to raise safeguarding concerns as appropriate. Ability to completed observations of patients in your care and ability to recognise deterioration.
