Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for registered health professionals to join our resuscitation services team.The role of a resuscitation officer is to educate and support trust staff to provide safe and effective care to deteriorating patients or those who have suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest within our hospitals, working within current Resuscitation Council UK, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and other evidence based practice.Main duties of the jobDevelopment and delivery of high quality, evidence based education around the deteriorating patient and the management of cardiorespiratory arrest for adults and children.Development and delivery of ad hoc training on specific subjects related to those above (i.e. anaphylaxis, human factors).Supporting procurement and management of resuscitation related equipment and development of systems of support.Organisational governance around all trust cardiac arrest events to support identification of learning and improvement opportunities.Clinical support at clinical emergency events and pastoral care and support for staff involved in and effected by these events.About usThank you for your interest in this role.Sherwood is nationally recognised as being an excellent place to work and deliver care.
