Job summaryJoin the newly formed Organ & Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTDT) Tissue & Eye Services Team and work alongside National and International leaders in the field of Donation and Transplantation.This exciting post is one that you can make your own, by providing excellent PA support to the Assistant Director Tissue & Eye Services and their senior team, supporting and co-ordinating business initiatives you will help shape future plans for Tissue & Eye Services. You will be helping achieve our strategy of Saving & Improving Even More Lives and Creating a World where Every Patient Receives the Donation that they Need.You will get the ability to use your innovative and personable approach to deliver to strategic requirements for the directorate. Communication and engagement are everything in this role, and you'll need to build effective relationships, resolve issues, and share best practice across the organisation.Main duties of the jobIn this role you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive personal assistant service to the Assistant Director Tissue & Eye Services, Head of Operations and members of the Tissue & Eye Services Senior Leadership Team acting as a central source of communication between those individuals across NHSBT and relevant external organisations. Your responsibilties will include:Providing analytical support for Business Transition projects, including creating performance metrics, excel dashboard reports, trend analyses, and research reports.Coordinating and supporting business initiatives using project management tools.Tracking progress of Business Transition initiatives within the NHSBT Change Control Quality Management System.Developing and maintaining specialized expertise to support Tissue & Eye Services Management.Managing aspects of the Service Delivery portfolio and ensuring timely communication with external stakeholders.Handling external enquiries sent to the Tissue & Eye Service team and ensuring timely responses.Planning and booking venues for internal and external meetings.Devising the Tissue & Eye Services Duty Manager team on-call roster for 24/7 coverage.Approving leave across the Tissue & Eye Services Management team to maintain continuous coverage.You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior noticeAbout usAt NHS Blood and Transplant, were incredibly proud of the many talented people who come together every day to make our organisation the very best it can be.
