Job summaryWe are looking for Senior Mental Health Practitioner to work in our Liaison Psychiatry Service in Torbay Hospital. Working on a shift based (including weekends and nights) you will play an essential role in providing 24/7 specialist mental health services to those who need them.Based within Torbay Hospital, you will become part of a multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, referral and signposting to appropriate agencies that deliver recovery-focused care for people with complex mental health needs.You will be a strong confident and capable senior mental health practitioner capable of making decisions that change lives. We welcome those with a nursing, social work or occupational health background to augment the skills and knowledge of our current team.Main duties of the jobYou will be responsible for taking the lead for mental health services in Torbay Hospital and making decisions that affect lives.It will be your job to make specialist mental health assessments, and devise interventions that will help people to recover. You will play a key role in a dynamic multidisciplinary team, working with multiple agencies on a daily basis.You will be confident working with the knowledge to devise individual recovery plans for the people you see.
