What you`ll get up to as a Senior Rating Implementation Manager As we continue to expand our business, we are looking for a Rating Implementation Manager to be at the forefront of managing the development, testing, implementation, and enhancement of our in-house rating engine. Your responsibilities will include integrating pricing strategies and underwriting risk management to ensure compliance, efficiency, and innovation. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a team of analysts within the Underwriting Analytics team. What we look for in you * Deep understanding of technical requirements for insurance rating systems, including hands-on experience managing projects and delivery of IT application systems including: 1. software development (.NET, C#, ADO, Azure), and 2. data services (AzureSQL, CosmosDB, Blob Storage). * Ability to communicate technical needs and solutions effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Ability to understand, query, and manipulate/edit data extracts (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, XML, JSON) to produce technical requirements and support testing of rating system implementation. * Ability to work as a product owner of highly technical application services using agile/scrum delivery approach. * Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry's operational processes, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and innovation. Familiarity with the complexities of integrating rating systems with quote, policy admin, and claims data systems.[1] * Comprehensive knowledge of Insurance Rating Implementation systems and knowledge of related underwriting concepts, either: 1. professional qualification (such as the Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Insurance, or similar body) 2. and/or familiarity with commercial rating solutions (e.g. Polaris, OpenGI, etc.) 3. and/or by experience of comparable in-house solutions * Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including expert Excel skills * Understanding of process diagramming (e.g. BPMN), including expert Visio (or similar, such as draw.io) skills What Animal Friends is all about!
