Job summaryAn interesting and exciting opportunity has risen for band 7 Nurse Prescriber. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive registered nurse to join our healthcare team at HMP Hull.The team includes a wide range of experienced, skilled individuals including GPs, nurses, clinical support workers, pharmacy technicians, pharmacist, ANP, administration support workers and more. You will become part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, using your skills, experience and knowledge to help define and deliver care to those with physical health, substance misuse and often complex needs.As well as providing excellent care to service users, you will also support colleagues in developing the service. Join us and you will play a central role within a committed and dynamic team that are passionate about making a difference to people's lives.Main duties of the jobAs a substance misuse nurse prescriber, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning. You will deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting.You must be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to patients. You will monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers.You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing.
