Job summaryWe have a fantastic opportunity to recruit a permanent Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists to our Acute Stroke Team in East and North Hertfordshire, based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.The role is in our Acute Stroke Service, where you will be working alongside an MDT including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Consultants, Dieticians and Psychologists. You will work alongside a large team of other SLTs and SLTas to deliver varied and evidence based intervention to our service users. We regularly run Videofluoroscopy Clinics as part of our Acute Service, which you will be encouraged to participate in. We offer a full seven day service including bank holidays, which offers additional supplementary pay.Our Acute Stroke service offers a fast paced and exciting environment where you will benefit from the broad knowledge and experience of the whole team.This role would be an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 therapist looking to develop their skills or as a development opportunity for an experienced Band 5 therapist.A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential for community posts (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).This post attracts a 'Golden Hello' payment of £2,500: £1250 payable after 6 months (upon completion of successful probation period) and £1250 payable after 12 months.
