Ward 5 is a fast paced 32 bedded Gastroenterology Ward run by a fantastic team of staff. The team is looking for someone who will lead with compassion and clinical expertise. You will need the ability to adopt great communication skills in order to sustain and continue to develop the ward further. As the Ward Manager you will be responsible for managing the ward, promoting a positive patient and staff experience and leading on the delivery of excellent nursing care. This role requires close working relationships with a wide range of people including the Multi-Disciplinary Team, Consultants, Heads of Nursing, Matrons and other Ward Managers. It is essential that the successful candidate is professional, diplomatic and caring as you will be challenged with the varied demands of the unit, which at times can be unpredictable. Leadership skills and evidence of working within an acute area as a band 6 or above is considered essential.
