Job summary NHSBT has the vision of saving and improving patients lives. We are currently recruiting for three Quality Project Specialists. Two posts are permanent, full-time and one post is fixed term for a 12-month period (22.5hrs/week). These exciting roles will work primarily on projects in Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation. The two permanent roles will support a programme of work to update the organ matching and offering schemes. Both roles will provide regulatory advice, guidance and support with one role focused on operations development and the other focused on the IT system development. The fixed term post will provide regulatory advice and guidance to a project dedicated to the Electronic Transfer of Results for Organ Donor Characterisation. These roles will provide you with the challenge and opportunity to play a key role in delivering these pivotal projects. Main duties of the job You may also have a role to play in other projects to improve our ability to supply blood, organs, tissues, stem cells and services to the NHS, helping people in need. You will be an important member of a small team with opportunities to work within the wider Quality Directorate and to network with other departments in the organisation. In this role you will provide quality consultancy and support to projects in Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation ensuring that the outcome of such projects comply with Licensing and Accreditation requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Providing support for key programme/project planning and delivery activities. Providing day-to-day Quality Management System (QMS) support to key individuals within the programmes/projects and associated operational functions. Providing advice and guidance on the QMS including Change Control, Validation, Risk management, Quality Incident management, Root Cause Analysis, Document control and supplier management. Providing specialist advice and guidance on the regulatory, safety and best-practice requirements associated with the development and implementation of safety-critical IT systems. Assisting the wider Quality Assurance Team in the implementation and management of national initiatives and to support the Lead Quality Specialist (LQS) / National Quality Manager Organ Donation and Transplantation in their directorate and national activities.
