You will undertake robust estates maintenance and repair works on hospital equipment which will include installation of electrical, mechanical, carpentry, landscaping and constructive service and hardware. You will have the basic skills that the properties are maintained in accordance with the service level agreements and to the appropriate quality and standards expected. You will use your knowledge and experience to prioritise your workload to affect change within the hospital to build a safe environment for clients, visitors, and staff. The multi skilled demands of the role will include carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance and repair of mechanical systems as well as being trained on new systems. You will ensure the safe and responsible use and manual handling of equipment, whilst working in potentially hazardous environments (switch/plant rooms and workshop) and/or environmental conditions (confined spaces, heat, cold, wet, and dirty) observing H&S and Codes of Practice There is plenty of scope for progression and up-skilling your current knowledge with on-site training and courses that will expand your comprehension of the role.
