The Cardiac Physiology Service at Rotherham is evolving and requires flexible and forward thinking staff. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills and work autonomously. We are seeking a fully qualified Cardiac Physiologist/ Healthcare Scientist with a broad range of expertise across a wide range of cardiac investigations. The successful candidate will perform a range of invasive and/or non-invasive diagnostics autonomously in a wide range of clinical settings. Due to the nature of invasive work, sessions may run beyond routine working hours and you must demonstrate flexibility and commitment to cover these lists. You will be expected to assist in device follow-up clinics. Applicants must have completed the PTP, STP or equivalent qualifications and have appropriate clinical experience. RCCP/HCPC registration is essential. Main duties of the job We are seeking an inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist for Moorland View, a 16-bed mixed-gender acute ward in Barnstaple, North Devon. This position has become available due to the previous consultant moving to another service within the trust. Moorland View boasts a well-established multidisciplinary team, including a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Assistant Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Therapy Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist, and Technician, as well as an experienced ward manager. There is access to an Extra Care Area, onsite patient use gym, art therapy space, and plentiful outside space. There are strong connections with the CMHTs, Psychiatric Liaison Service, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, and AMPHs. The ward is co-located with two other wards: Ocean View, an 8-bed intensive inpatient rehabilitation ward, and Meadow View for older adults, both of which have substantive consultants. Located on the North Devon District Hospital site, the wards offer easy access to DGH facilities when needed. The post includes a dedicated office and secretarial support.
