The team undertakes a risk-based programme of activity to provide senior leaders in HMPPS with an assessment of operational delivery in the key areas of Safety, Security, OMiC Key Work and MQPL surveys of prisoners to provide their perception on life in prison. The team is currently delivering the Baseline & Build programme to deliver the full complement of audits and surveys, update historic PPTD scores and provide Governors, PGDs and (A)EDs with a clear baseline of delivery assessment by the second line of assurance, and to build robust and consistent approaches in the first line of assurance. As an Operational Assurance Support Officer (OASO) you will be responsible for managing a team of administrative and data management roles to provide support to a range of assurance work including Standards audits, OMiC Key Work audits and Safety audits. You will be responsible for oversight of the administrative systems to support auditors in carrying out the full range of audits supporting the timely production of high-quality reports for prison Governors, Prison Group Directors and Operational Executive Directors.
