The unit is JAG accredited and display high standards of care . Main duties of the job Duties include - admission, recovery, discharge of patients. The service is a nurse led discharge unit and nurses will receive robust training in order to be competent at discharging patients. Successful candidate will also be assisting mostly in the procedure rooms and this will involve training in the use of the many endoscopy accessories used. Knowledge of decontamination of scopes , completing traceability of scopes and an introduction to the decontamination unit. Duties also include training on using the various Point of Care devices used in Endoscopy as we monitor patients pre, during and post procedures.
