About the team The Environment and Energy unit is responsible for the policies and programmes related to the Mayor’s ambitions around the natural environment, climate adaptation and his net zero 2030 target. The 25-strong Energy team sits within this unit. The Energy team leads on the Mayor’s manifesto commitments on domestic retrofit (through the newly established Warmer Homes London) and the Greener Schools pilot. It is also responsible for our work around London Power, community energy and supporting a strong decarbonisation pipeline across London through the Mayor’s Zero Carbon Accelerator. About the role This senior role will play a pivotal part in the Mayor’s ambitions towards net zero. The Head of Energy leads an expert team of around 25 people working across a number of complex energy projects.
