Main duties of the job We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive dietitian, with good clinical knowledge, communication and team working skills. This could be a great opportunity to continue to develop your current skills. The post-holder will be responsible for covering outpatient clinics which will be comprised of patients with a range of conditions including IBD, type 2 diabetes, coeliac disease, weight management, nutrition support, irritable bowel syndrome, neurological conditions and lipid modification. You will provide cover to a range of wards including stroke, surgical, orthopaedic, respiratory, cardiology and care of the elderly. Further to your clinical roles you will be expected to provide support during events such as Nutrition and Hydration Week and Dietitians' Week. All dietitians are actively involved in student training and host training to placement students from The University of Hertfordshire. You will be actively involved in these training programmes and in the development, implementation and audit of patient care practices as part of clinical governance. There will also be opportunities to develop supervisory skills through mentoring junior members of the team.
