The role: In this role, you will play a vital part in contributing to the design, implementation and improvement of the data pipelines for complex datasets, with a particular focus on census and international data. What you’ll be doing: Create and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources, ensuring data and metadata quality, accuracy, and consistency. This will include working with large and complex datasets, such as census and international data. Responsibility for implementation of data governance policies and strategies, data quality standards, and data integration processes (as defined by the Data Architect) to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our data. Experience with ETL tools and processes Exhibit proficiency in programming and database query languages, in particular Python and SQL. Possess a good understanding of data engineering principles, data management, data modelling, and data integration techniques. Showcase excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to optimize data processing pipelines for performance and efficiency.
