Main duties of the job The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) is a Joint Committee of the seven Health Boards acting collectively on their behalf. The JCC has been established to commission a range of highly specialised, national and regional services for the population of Wales, with an expanding role in the provision of commissioning capability to support Health Boards and other NHS Wales partners. The Director of Commissioning - Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Vulnerable Groups (MHLDVG) will: Lead the JCC commissioning team/function in relation to the commissioning of mental health, learning disability services and vulnerable groups (MHLDVG) and other services as directed by the Chief Commissioner. Lead the commissioning of MHLDVG serviwhere a national or regional approach is required, as agreed with health boards as part of the expanding remit of the JCC over time.
