Role Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour and engage positively with their learning. You’ll act as a trusted mentor and role model, helping them build confidence and resilience. Job Responsibilities: Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Develop and implement tailored behaviour support strategies for individual students. Build strong, respectful relationships with students, encouraging trust and open communication. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create inclusive learning environments. Support classroom activities and help maintain a calm, supportive atmosphere. Monitor student progress and contribute to regular reports and reviews. Promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and personal growth throughout the school. Job Requirements: Experience working in a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Support, or similar role. A good understanding of behavioural and social-emotional needs in children and young people. Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, patient approach to challenging situations. A genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve their best. A relevant qualification in education, youth work, psychology, or related fields is advantageous.
