    • Business Support Officer - Helpdesk, Tendering & ICT - Maternity Cover Job description 37 hours per week Are you a highly organised administrator with great attention to detail and a methodical approach? If so, this could be the job for you as we are looking for someone to work within our friendly Business Support Corporate Landlord team as a Helpdesk and Tendering Officer to cover maternity leave. The Helpdesk and Tendering Officer is a key role as it is the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to Corporate Landlord Facilities Management and dealing directly with customers for repairs or planned maintenance on BCBC buildings. You'll be liaising with colleagues from across the council ensuring repairs are done in a timely manner. You will also be providing business support to the tender process for larger projects including the monitoring of contractor queries. A strong communicator, you will be dealing with customer requests to address both reactive and planned maintenance issues as well as supporting the tender process. This will include allocating the jobs to the appropriate section, liaising between clients and both internal/external contractors and maintaining the records on the relevant computerised systems. You will also be sourcing equipment and dealing with quote and orders to procure relevant ICT equipment. You will be comfortable working with databases and digital system and ideally will have some experience in a business support function. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office. Temporary up to 12 months or until the post holder returns; whichever is earlier.
